i'm trying to install 6.5" midbasses into a civic 2002 sedan
the hole are not big enough to fit them. how to make them fit?
cut the hole? with what? and whats the best way to do it to make it as neat as possible?

I need about 1" bigger allround

is there a tutorial somewhere regarding this?

and btw, I have made some spacers for the mids

need reply asap

if you use the spacers, do the speakers now fit?

what is the diameter of the hole?

i'll get the measurement but the back of the speakers does not even fit into the hole so yeah definitely need to do some cutting.
if I put more spacers, the door trim will not be able to fit

You could try making a Fiberglass door pod. there is a few tutorials on this in the tutorials section.

i want to keep the stock look so yeah fibreglassing is out of the question

the problem with cutting metal sometimes you get bits of swarf in the door and it can cause rusting.
As long as you're careful with the cutting, and don't remove too much metal, I'd aim to make the hole at least 15mm larger than the magnet and terminals to allow a bit of clearance, and not to short anything out. but don't make the hole bigger than it needs to be.
