hi all,

i have a 200wrms, 400w peak 4ohm fosgate sub. At the moment i have two amps tho, i have a 2x150w peak avalanche amp, as well as a 2x100wrms jaycar amp, im just wondering which amp should i use to run the sub?

is there much harm in running the subwoofer with the 300w from the bridged avalanche amp?

any comments greatly appreciated.

Definetly the Jaycar, if it is 2x100wrms, Bridged to 1channel will do more than 200wrms what model is it? i think i know which one, they do like 250rms, so that would be better

Avalanche wont do 300wrms bridged, they are MAX figures

the jaycar amp is fairly old, i dont know the model code of the top of my head, its the old blue and white one with the ridges in its body. so you think the 200wrms would still put out more power than the 300peak amp? surely the avalanche amp doesnt lose over 100w power between its rms and its max?

and hypothetically would running 300w to the sub ruin it or damage it?
