It takes like ages to fill up a tank and it has got to a point where some bastard went of at me for taking to long. Ive tried every angle possible and it must be something internal as every fuel station is the same...any ideaz??? I drive an AU fairmont Ghia.. it takes probly 7minutes to fill up a tank..

Tried pulling the nozzle out so that it is only just in? Be careful that you dont pull it out too far that it spits back at you.
Mine has the same problem and that usually fizes it.

sometimes you need to twist the hose I think
or
just not squeeze it so hard (If your willing to sacrafice precious driving time)

Turn the handle upside down. You look like a moron but it works.
or sideways, at BP I need it sideways but at Caltex I need it upside down but Matilda is fine having it normal.

I thought the Nozzles clicked becuase of pressure in the tank? what makes it click, moisture or pressure or soem other factor?

Another thing could just be the bowser, my cousin used to work for a company that serviced the bowsers and the clicking alot of the time was just the bowser playing up.
When i owned my ZD fairlane, it always clicked and i was told it was the way the back end of the car was so who knows.

i used to get this same problem earlier this year, and i found that it happened when i had only driven a short distance to the servo 9used to do a lot of short trips around my town)...if the car was only driven for <10min and then i tried to fill up, i would get the clicking, but drive the car around for at least 20min then go to fill up = no problems...the problem and solution worked/happened at a number of different servos
made me think it was a pressure problem - theres a build up of pressure when the car is first started, and as the car is driven around, the pressure is slowly released.
i havent tried the 'upside down' nozzle though...

If you look at the end of the fuel nozzle, it has a little hole as well as the one where the fuel comes out. This is what senses a full tank and stops the flow. sometimes the flap on your tank covers this when the nozzle is inserted, and the bowser thinks your tank is full. I get this at random fuel stations - must be a slight difference in the angle of the nozzle. if you pull the handle back slightly so the 'kink' in the nozzle rests on the bottom of the hole, it should fix it
