ok to start you need to pull the 5 pin din plug apart,to do this slide off the outer plastic cover and then pull the metal cylinder apart to remove the pins mounted in the plastic bit,set the metal cylinder and outer plastic cover aside for a while.

cut the paper clips into about two or three cm strips, youl need three of them.

cut 3 bits of the 22 gauge wire to how ever long you want,i cut them to about 40 cm in length each.strip about a cm a plastic off 1 end of the 3 bits of wire. solder one strip of the paper clip to to the ends of wire you striped,do this to all the wires. cut heat strink acordingly to cover the solder joints and leave about a cm of bare paper clip exposed.

bend the legs of the resistor so it can lie flat.cover the legs and resistor in heat shrink leaving about about a cm of the resistor legs exposed.

pull your deck out so you can get to the rear of it and have easy access to the CD changer control plug.

the resistor legs will need to be inserted into holes 3 and 9 on the diagram below.the bottom of the plug is normal facing the right hand side of the deck(it was on mine, yours might be different).

one of the wires you prepaired earlier will need to be inserted into hole 6,this is the ground for both chanels, which will need to be connected to the outer pin on the RCA plugs later if thats what your going to use on the other end.

another one of the wires you prepaired earlier will need to be inserted into hole 8,this is the center pin of the red RCA plug.

the remaining wire will need to be inserted into hole 12,this is the center pin of the white RCA plug

once all your wires and the resistor is inserted into the appropriate places you can insert the bottom half of the metal cylinder into its possition in the deck, cover the wires with hot glue to hold them all in place.then insert the other half of the metal cylinder into place and continue to fill the gaps with hot glue then slide the plastic covering over the other end of the wires and push it over the metal and hot glue to hold it all in place.

its up to you what kind of connection you want to put on the other end to connect your mp3 player up to.

you can now turn on the HU and insted of it only having a tuner and CD section it should also go to a disk ch/aux exit option.

if you can't get ahold of a 13 pin din plug you will need to use a 5 pin din plug and modify it like i did.but if you can get ahold of the 13 pin din plug it will be alot easier and you wont need to make your own pins up etc.

based on the highlighted sections, i'd say its the female connector.

yes that diagram is of the female plug on the rear of the deck.
