Hey i know this isnt a car audio question but i thought someone here would know. I drive a 1997 CE Lancer Coupe and the headlights are really dim. like not ridiculously dim i would just like them to be brighter. I was looking on ebay and saw these bulbs

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Xenon-Globes-Bulbs-...1QQcmdZViewItem

was just wondering if anyone has ever installed them. or knows if they are any good. I read somewhere a while ago that someone installed them and they burnt out the fuse or something.
Also does anyone know if they are legal in Queensland? i thought u were allowed to change the bulb as long as it was the same type (Eg: H4 etc) if this is the situation, does neone know for sure if the 1997 CE Lancer has H4 type bulbs. I checked and it said H4 on the bulb but would just like to make sure.

Thanks guys

Yes mate..do some research 1st next time, this kinda topic been covered quite so many times here smile.gif

Anyway...I used to have Philips Crystal Vision H4 in my camry and its all good..bright and not too bluish...coz u know the more blue or purple they produced it will not be as bright as the normal bulbs.

My suggestion is to buy Philips Vision Plus, its like $50 - $60 in Autobarn..Philips is a well known brand and I proved it myself had them for years good.gif and Why vision plus not crystal vision , because as said above..u want brighter..so yeah vision plus would be yellow bright..while crystal vision is more towards look (bit bluish in colour) tongue.gif

second vote for the vision plus bulbs.
i have a CE MR, with the foggies. Headlights are h4's, foggies are h3's.
my GOD. about what, 4 months after changing to the philips bulbs, i still smile a little when i turn my lights on the first time at night. 500% better than those piece of CRAP stock ones the lancers come with.

I also did some research before swapping, and the philips vision plus got about 20 votes, the next competitor was narva, with about 5 votes. tongue.gif

I locked it, another thread about HID's isn't necessary in my opinion, all the answers will be found elsewhere. violin.gif

Legalities, try QLD DOT direct, or read ADR's...

But says in the ad:

The globes are legal in all states of Australia, and easy to install.

Also, please don't use profanities in your posts Fergy666, next time I'll just delete the entire thread.

oh yes, make sure you get the 50odd watt bulbs. try and install the 100w odd items, and yes, you'll either blow a fuse or melt all your headlight wiring
