Well I’ve been bored lately (lack of employment doesn’t help sad.gif ) so with the last of my bucks, I went on down to spotlight(weird aye tongue.gif ) and found the perfect fabric to re-trim my painted vinyl Interior with.

It’s a nice black crushed velvet.

So far I’ve done both doors and the A pillars and tomorrow I should have the dash done too.

Later on when I get more cash I’ll do roof back panels (2 door) and boot install (when done tongue.gif ) and get set covers made up in it too

And later on too I’ll have to get some nice red carpet and re paint all plastic bits that couldn’t be retrimed.

Here its is hope its up to everyone else’s standards rolleyes.gif

this is what they used too look like

this is while they are being trimmed still

and heres the finished product

more pics or the dash when done

COMMENT PLEASE

Regards,

Nate

Shouldn't this be in your rides and installs?

I think it looks nice other than clashing abit with the wood grain / brown handle thingo nea.gif

lol one of my mates said i should do purple velvet highlights everywhere
but i'm still thinking of doing red velvet highlights throughout the seat covers and maybe the dash? though i think just plain black is pimpin' instead of it being a hybrid pimp/boy racer design
the cars slow and has okish stereo so pimpin all DA WAY lol

good work - but from a design point of view, maybe its a bit plain ?
I think it needs a panel of another material to add shape and contrast, or even just some piping to enhance the appearance.

But of course its hard to tell from the photos - and your perosonal taste is what matters smile.gif

looks pretty shagish smile.gif

my only concern would be with fading. that doesn't look luke uv stable fabric and you may find it doesn't hold its colour too well.

time for some 5% tints methinks!!! hehehehhe

I did similiar thing on my car, but used Velveteen... got a lovely feel... but it's hard to get it totally smooth.
What adhesive did you use, if I might ask?
