I've been told they are the same.
Are they exact as in body shape? If so will VN replacement parts (tail lights) fit it?
If so, another question:
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/PAIR-NEW-COMMODORE-...1QQcmdZViewItemHow do I make the top part red? Red bulbs?
As you can tell I have noooooo idea but my daewoo broked itself when I was bush bashing so I got an old Lexcen and I want to make it look semi decent since I need it for 3yrs.
Cheers.

Identical vehicles apart from a few cosmetic differences ( grill / Interior/ badges etc.)
Lights should fit no problem. Bulbs need to be coloured items in lieu of the standard clear.

We had a VN Lexen GL (Berlina) was a sik car... My opinion is they are slightly better than the commodore, they seemed to have better interior fabrics, but as said, same car. I thought the VP tails were slightly more squarer than the VN, there was a Merc Bus that has VP tail lights, but they inverted them - haha can't fool me...

Tail lights should be the same. I hit a roo once and smashed my front right headlight in and got a another headlight from a wrecker but it wouldnt fit, turned out it was a VP Lexcen headlight.

VP head lights aren't as tall as the VN ones thats probably the reason for not fitting, not the fact that it was a lexcen head light. I'm thinking you owned a VN

Another query, how much would a respray cost approx? When we move I am going to sand it down and fix any dents and stuff I can find and probably just get it sprayed white.
Mum said she'll pay if it aint too expensive :>

I own a VP. It'll cost a few thousand for the respray I'd say. A bare metal respray will start from around $8000 or something like that for show room quality.

How about for non show room quality?
Is there anyway to lower the cost? IE, Dont sand the entire paint coat off, just rough it up and bog over it????

About $2k if you don't want the engine bay and too many things removed (like windscreen and rubbers etc). Or remove and replace anything yourself. Don't expect the mona lisa though.

Personally I think the Mona Lisa is ugly but thats irrelevent.
I just want the paint job re done. Major paint damage all over it. Its just a car for thrashing but I need it for 3ish yrs if I can manage to not break this one.

I'd figure 3-5K for a decent quality respray in a factory colour.
