I went past one of those 4wd with the speed cameras setup inside them.

Clocked @ 72kph in a 60kph zone.

It was the bottom of a hill, I put my foot down in the fulli sick daewoo so I'd make it up the hill without dropping to 20kph sad.gif It was one stupid bum spot for a camera but it worked and it got me.

*I got 1 point, $100.
enzo
.......i'm crossin my fingers for you that it wasnt over 20 ks over
Pulsar88
Thanks Enzo. It is crape though cuz i hardly ever speed or do anything stupid, and i just went for a drive in my mates new car, and he is the craziest driver i have even been in a car with and he speeds and races all the time. Oh well, I was a idiot for doin it, so i will have to cop what i get. sad.gif

A workmate got fined $150 and lost 1 point for 112 in a 100 zone. I was going 6k's faster then that, i got fined $150 but lost 3 points.

Mate, I have to say this, I commend you on your attitude. tongue.gif

It annoys me when people get on forums such as this and go off about cops being unfair / was only a bit over / i'm an awesome driver and i'd never kill anyone / blah blah blah.

Agreed, a good attitude. Sometimes it's really tough to take responsibility for those things, you look everywhere for someone to blame rather than the one place you SHOULD be looking.

crap i though 12 k's over was more then 1 point....i though it was more like 4-10 1 point 150 fine
11-20 3 points 250
20+ is dangerous driving isnt it? so that would be more like 500 and like 3 points or a 6 month suspended licence..
but i havnt got a speeding fine yet, had my licence for like a year so going alright smile.gif.

if it was in your mates car he might not relise and just pay the fine thinking it was him tongue.gif
Pulsar88
Yer it was my car. Hopefully someone ran into the camera and broke it and nothing will come of it. tongue.gif Wishful thinking though sad.gif

Just looked up the QLD Transport Website and 13kph-20kph, 3 points, $150, 20kph-30kph, 4 points $250. Worse case scenario I lose 4 points, go on probation for a year, meaning i can't lose any points. The annoying thing is that i am saving up for car audio and now this could just prolong it. How annoying!

Im confused, if under 13 (excluding 13) is 1 point and $150 why was I only fined $100?
