got a phone call from a mate the other day asking if i new this girl when we were at school, i finished in '04' and shes in yr 12 this year. so i was like yeh i know her so he proceded to tell me that she collapsed after completing her trial HSC and basicall died on the spot. i didnt know her well but yeh still new who she was.
now this is a massive shock cause she was the fittest girl i have just about ever seen. i used to see her goin for runs all the time and what not, she played soccer and netball and whatever else.
the whole school was in shock as i guess you would be but yeh.. she died in her boyfriends are as he went to catch her as she fell heaps of ambos came and what not but she was pronounced dead before she even got to hospital...
it is really just so sad and i just wonder how hard its goin to be for the rest of the grade to do there upcoming HSC..
has anyone else experienced this ?

I had my Dad die on Mount Everest around May this year.
That night was really hard, I couldn't sleep at all and cried all night.
Then he came back to life.

no crap, that was your dad?
and on topic, yes. Fit friend of mine dropped dead just after her 18th birthday. No history, no symptoms, nothing in the autopsy.

You serious?
A girl that I went to primary school with killed herself at the start of this year. She was admitted to hospital for anorexia and hung herself in the bath room when unattended. I saw her a few months earlier and pretended I didn't remember who she was. I felt like absolute crap.

To both, yes I am serious.
The media was a novelty at first, but then they started to get really annoying, and bloody troublesome.
Someone I know killed himself because of what I said to him when I caught him trying to forcibly get with my girlfriend.

The drummer for my old band, and a very close friend of mine, hung himself unexpectedly less than a year ago.
The boys saw him that night, he was happy and fine, and suddenly decided to go home. He said he'd catch up with everyone later at a gig. The boys then tried to call him later that night, he said he wasn't feeling up to it and he'd catch everyone later.
The next morning his Mum found him hanging from a tree in his backyard. No warning, no depression ... no nothing. He was a great guy, the life of every party and the type of guy who'd always put a smile on your face. He was an awesome drummer and I spent a lot of time at his house listening to music and downing some drinks, I miss him a lot.
He was the first person I'd ever lost at my age. His funeral was incredibly hard, and Im not sorry to admit I cried my eyes out. It was funny, typically him, during the service they played hardcore metal during a powerpoint presentation of him in various gigs and what not.
The saddest thing was as the service ended, they played 'Don't Forget About Me' by Simple Minds. Now I can't hear that song without being said or thinking of him.
This is probably way more info than anyone needed, but I promised myself I'd never forget about him, just like the song said. So this was one way I can remember him. Sorry for the rant guys.
