got 2 component decks, was in my car from japan. took it out long time ago. tried to reinstall it and cant figure out which rca's go with which. they were connected before but stupid me pulled it all apart.



the MD deck has the bus wire (fat black component cable) which connects to the CD deck.

the CD deck has 3 pairs of RCA. one black, one grey and one shorter purple.

the MD deck has 4 pairs or RCA. same as above plus one more black one which is longer than the others.



i assume one/more of the rcas on the md are output, going back to the cd so the speaker wires are used for the speakers. and one/more of the rcas on the cd are input. ive tried connecting them all in various ways but cant get sound from the speaker wires. ive also tried the cd on its own and still doesnt work, thus i suspect the decks sound output is not working. although it does light up and play cds.



any help much appreciated, also where can something like this be fixed in adelaide?
