thanks michae1,

but.... mama aint raise no fool... biggrin.gif

"Model: DD 9915 dvc 3 ohm (quad 1.5 rewired under the dust cap)"

all that is rendered pretty much useless when you take into acount that that one is quad 1.5, and mine is dual 1...

i appreciate it though,

it seems that dd dont release this info to anyone,

so ill just use the 9515 specs that phil tried to pass off as 9915 specs on that same post as the one you got this info from...

its the same woofer (cone and motor assembly), just in a quad with different impedance, the specs will be the same.
hsvmonarogen3
when i searched soundpressure nothing came up. didnt look hard enough then. cheers michael. time for a new box!
Michae1
no probs, wasn't that a thread u started??? laugh.gif

Caydin: u realise that there will be more difference between your woofer and a 95 series than there will be compared to a 9915 even with quad coils?

The T/S specs you need for port designing for the 9515 and 9915 are the same.

The only difference between the two woofers is the moving mass, which has no real world bearing on the box design.

Motor force and suspension compliance are the critical factors, these are the same on 95s and 99s.

I'm happy to design you the best box for the application. Real world design experience is far more valuable than T/S numbers plugged into software for a theoretical prediction.

Phil

PS: As I write this, I'm sitting in Jassa's (the DD guru) kitchen. smile.gif
