i had a little look around but it seems people want more expensive head units

currently i have an eclipse 5415 which has served me well until i decided i wanted to have a play with CAASQ.....its getting fixed with any luck at the moment and while its out of the car im weighing up my options....it lacks the better features that i spose you want for SQ but for someone like me when i bought it, it was fantastic

just having a look around today both on here and at JB/WOW ive seen a few different units but im not 100% sure if they are what im after

im not brand specific, new or 2nd hand doesnt bother me

i want
- something more than a 3 band EQ
- AUX in if possible....or similar (i like the look of the SD card feature of some units)
- under or around $500....anything more is too hard to justify at the moment unfortunately
- something i can build from

oh and if anyones thinking about selling soon give me a yell haha

Go second-hand. New units from Alpine, Eclipse and Pioneer around the ~$500 mark are nothing special, in terms of tuning.

cheers i might hit that up...looks to be everything i need and its eclipse too so it wont take too much getting my head around....had a play with an alpine the other day and had no idea what i was doing
