I blew up? LOL

Could be many things. If you could see a light flash, that could be a internal fuse letting go.
If you could see smoke but didn;t hear a bang or pop, could be a resistor, diode, transistor. COuld be anyone of a number of things. IF you heard a pop, then maybe a cap letting go.

Not much help I guess, but either way it needs tending to by a qualified tech.

well i just found a fried fuse.. and smart me.. i put a car fuse in instead jsut to see if it would work... and it did turn on.. but within a few seconds something glowed bright yellow and popped... lol... any ideas why??

cheers

well the fuse you put there most likely would have been rated higher then the one that was initially there and causing power to flow freely with no chance of blowing,

can you take the lid off and show some pics and maby we can identify what other damage you have done with the car fuse,

but after the smarks shooting everwhere and now a bright glow and a pop, i would say ull have a few components (resistors, caps) that are gone and ull have a few things to replace,

how much is the amp worth cause it may be cheaper to buy a new one then get it fixed by a techie

so true,
the point of a fuse is to blow when there is something internally wrong drawing too much current (a transister gone awry for isntance) if the fuse you stuck in was a higher rating than what the original one was then it wouldn't blow to protect the other components from over drawing current and burning out,

if the replacement fuse is fine and you heard/saw fireworks sorta speak then you have done damage to other components in the amplifier, a lot of the time its cheaper to purchase new again than to actually pay someone $60 an hour plus parts to repair the item. Can you provide us a picture interanally with the lid taken off?
Thanks
