Hey guys,

As I have previously posted before (a few months back i guess), i just moved from overseas, and of course, I couldnt bring all ur car stereo gear with me, especially those big and heavy ones.

So... time to make some investment! However, i have some problems, one of them being unsure of the pricing here. Would appreciate if you guys could contribute to this thread, which hopefully serves as a reference not only to me, but to all the potential shoppers.

I'm trying to components of car stereo by price range. So, please feel free to input (note: please add anything that one should add to the 'to audition' list, (please do not comment on what's 'the best'. I believe that there is no particular component that is particularly better than the rest, it all depends on preference, setup, car space etc). Ok, here goes, my very limited research.. and please let me know if i got the prices wrong.

No-one will be silly enough to advertise prices less the rrp on their website. Specials are different, but you just wont get it. Most dealers wont even give you are hard price over the phone. Best you walk into the store to find out what the 'real' price is.

What I tend to do is budget for the rrp, that way its always a nice surprise when someone knocks the price down.
