Trent Ciantar
the closest would be a old holden stationwagon car i saw in the autosalon mag but it was a big box. i can tell u the cars name and stuff if u would like
SPL_Lancer
Have a look around the rides and installs section as i know there are a few commodores out there that use the spare wheel well as part of a sub enclosure.
Shinanigans
Silly question i know, but what about your spare wheel?

Last thing you want is to pop a tyre on your first cruise up the F3 with your new system and be pulling your hair out wishing you hadn't taken out your spare wheel just to save some space for a sub.

I had two 15's in the back of my old VT Wagon and there was still shat loads of room with dirty great big home made boxes as enclosures.

TEGBOY
I am in the process of doing it now, in my VS wagon, there is over 2cu ft of space in there. I will be using a single DD 12 in there. I will post pics once done.
SPL_Lancer
What you would be best of doing, if you are planning to use the spare wheel weel of your own car as the sub enclosure is. Go out and measure the wheel well, and calculate how much space you have avalable for a box. Then choose a sub based on the size of the enclosure it requires.

see Bob's Install... It's in a sedan, but you could quite easily do the same in a wagon

Shinanigans
I don't mean to be an ass, it looks like a neat install.... but what's the point in doing that if you can't put anything in your boot anyway? Put a back pack in the boot and it rolls onto your sub and shags it...
bob

Someone asked for a grille?

The whole aim of that install was to have the most practical boot possible. I chuck everything in there without worrying about the sub.
Shinanigans
A-ha! Nice wink.gif Looks like a BBQ grille! haha
Pulse-R
the wheel is a lot closer to the under-side of the space in the VR/VS.

so depth may be an issue. Something like Bob's I'd recommend, and if you can false-floor the whole area, then you have heaps of space for amps, etc. as well as option for a larger sub enclosure.
bigwilliam
thanks BROADZ , i'll add it to my list of jobs to do.
