Hello
My friend recently bought a nissan R31 skyline and it has had the whole audio system removed
Im going to install a new system for him (i have done installs in mazdas and toyotas before)
Im just struggling to find out the wiring pinout, eg what colour goes with what
im going to run new speaker wire because the old stuff is stuffed so i dont need to know that really
thanks
Luke

You will need to run all new speaker cables. Due to common grounding in car. Constant, acc, illumination are all in teh OEM plug.
All in all, a very simple car to do a cd player fitment to.

get a electric tester, those little pen things with a ground cable
then just ground the tester and test each wire to figure out the power connections, as for the speaker wiring yeh just run new ones

The OEM plug has been chopped off so and a few other things removed so its hard to tell what wire goes where but im sure ill work it out with a test light
Its had new speaker wire run but not very well and its pretty past its use by
Worse comes to worse ill run all new cabling eg new constant power, earth to the chassis and find a switched/ingntion

go to www.r31skylineclub.com
theres a car audio section with a couple of blokes who are pretty switched on. search the site, its been asked heaps of times
and coz im such a good bloke i ran out to my car to have a squiz.
white and green is constant 12v
black and blue is acc 12v.
but DEFINITLY CHECK with ur multimeter that the black and blue is acc 12 v. im not to sure on the constant 12v since i didnt want to pull my dash apart. it just seems that black and blue is a strange colour for acc 12volts when earth is black.
ok. DEFINITLY CHECK the acc 12v first. otherwise u may fry ur HU
