I'm interested in entering the Street A class
I have some ideas, I'd like to run a single 12" sub, what are some possible setups (deck to sub) to achieve my goal?

Get a big battery and 2000W+ amp, some 0g and a sheet of 32mm MDF. Borrow/beg/steal a meter and start testing.
Being more specific, an Optima YT or BT, whatever 2000W or bigger amp you can afford, and a DD 3512 or 9512 if you can afford one is a great starting point.

No budget, got money to burn, lol!!
Atm I have a sony deck and thinking about an OZ 4000rms 12" sub
Don't know what amp though
You can only run a single amp and battery in street A class correct?

Money to burn, get an Odyssey 2150, DD Z1 amp and 9512 then.. a pair of 9510 would be better tho.
HU needs a remote with pause, preferably stacker too.

Well if u have no budget i'd get 2 DD 9910 subs and 2 DD Z1's, 5 rolls of 0gauge cable and a big battery.

What's the difference between the 9912 and 9512,
aren't they the same thing?
Just looking at their website they have the same rms rating

About $1000. 99 have the injected kevlar composite (yellow) cone, 95 have compressed paper.
99 is louder 'cos its stronger.. and there's more to a sub than an RMS rating.

Its proven, You'll be louder with two 10"s than with one 12"..
as above, an Oddyssey 2150 battery, 2 x DD Z1a's and 2 x 9510s and you'll be well on your way, multiple runs of 0awg and a decent box and some testing and theres no reason you couldnt have the record.. providing the car allows for it (window line, space, cabin design).
Best of luck.

strength = durability, I guess you pay the extra money for that
thanks again

9910s + 2 Z1as + big battery + lots of 0g + lots of MDF and PVC + a Termlab =
A chance at getting loud.
If I was to go StA I'd get the 9910s you'll love them.

I have 2 x 3510D's (Dual 2s) For Sale.
With 4kw they have done
2000 Pulsar 146.3db
2002? Mitsi Colt 148.5db
2001? Toyota Echo 147.7db
Have potential to do into the 50's.
Basically brand new.
Link below:
http://www.caraudioaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=74780I was doing consistent 145/146db with:
2 runs of 0g
1 x EA-5000D (3890wrms at 1ohm 12.6v)
2 x 3510D's (Dual 2's wired to 0.5ohm)
Custom Slot port.
Alpine CDA-9835,
Optima D31 Bluetop
and a Quiet pulsar.

145's is achievable quite easily depending on your car. I have seen 46's from 2 soundstream 10's with only 2kw. In the same car i saw 45's from two crossfire 10's with the same power.

I'm hoping to get 145+ this year in ST.A... 2x 10's off 2000W (or so).
you can run 2 amps 'strapped'... i.e. bridged together.
not all amps have ability to be strapped.
