... the gain isnt a volume control. read the tute on setting gains... you cant just whack the gain on half and go bob's your uncle.. you need to set it properly.
CODE
if you run sub, it will get 1000wrms(at most, remember, at normal listening volumes, it may only recieve 100~300wrms) and put out "x" dB.
if you run two subs, *they* will get 1000wrms(half each). but because you have double the cone area, they will, in theory, still put out "x" dB.
if you run one sub with 2000wrms, it will double the volume, and put out "x+3" dB.(Double volume is +3dB).
if you run two subs, with 2000wrms, you will, in theory, quadruple the volume, and get "x+6" dB.
The volume of your system depends on how you set the EQ's, the gains, the bass boost's, the sub control, etc. the most important thing you need to remember is, firstly, to read the tute's about using/setting these things, and secondly, to make sure that you dont "over set" these functions and make the amp clip. if the amp clips(distorts the signal) it will cause damage to both the ampa nd sub, and will sound like crap.
