hey people want to know how much places like supercheap, repco etc. charge to install a sony headunit (not purcahsed from the store, but has everything needed to setup) and remove the old one (93' corrolla seca rv) also the current radio/tape/cd unit is split 2 dim ie. radio, tape up top then cd down bottom, any way to cover up the hole where the cd is now? also do they install 2nd hand head units (works fine, just been used before..)? also how much extra would it be to install some 6" splits? please no flaming and telling me to call, just asking to hopefully save me the trouble of calling arround tomorrow, thanks smile.gif

super cheap dont install, neither does repco

you are thinking of strathfield, and autobarn and jb hi fi

most places like that wont install stuff unless you have bought it from them.

better off talking to somehwere like fhrx, or dorans.....

I assume fitting splits would be significantly more than just a head unit. Strathies etc may install it all for you if you are buying the splits from them but I really don't know.

I second going to a specialist installer like fhrx/doran/precision.

As for the hole you want to cover up, you should be able to get a pocket that fit in there and fills the space. Otherwise I've seen people leave one half of those split units in there and just have it disconnected to fill the space.

check out mad89's install i think its the same kind of car. u cant fit speakers in the doors without mdf or fibreglass pods and cutting trim and removing map pocket.

hu requires most of the dash to come out if u want to put it up the top. its not too big of a job, fairly straigh fwd but time consuming due to the amount of stuff u have to take out.

try a professional store and ask them for a quote. where are you close to? south syd? where in nsw?
