hey guys, i installed the system but im really not hapyp with the look of the head unit.
I bought the pocket required (apparrently) but im really not happy with the way the unit itself sits so far back..
any suggestions?
or is it a simple casse of i have done something wrong?

You need to bring your cradle further forward, its too far back, hence the sunken in look.

how can i bring it forward if theres nothign to latch onto? screw it in at the sides? similar to commodores?

in my old mans au, i mounted my headunit with the same pocket. it never sat that far back. maybe screw it in like you said.

yeah, something is going on with the dash methinks, tried again to remount pocket and cage. little better but still not happy.
looks like somone has done something internally to change some structure. why i dont know.
anyways, might make up a wooden face, cover it and install into that

you should be able to with a specialised right angle drill bit connector: drill through cradle and in to plastic just behind front of face. then rivet cradle in with a long thin rivet. 1/8 in size. although there will always be a gap from top of pocket to bottom of unit because of the curve in the pocket.
