G'day

I have just finished reading the website mentioned in another post about sound deadening.

Now i'm confused!

What are peoples experiences? Has it fallen off your roof? Has it melted into your door?

I was going to get a product called B-quiet from canada, but now i'm not sure. I dont want to be driving along and suddenly have a drip of ashphalt on my head cause it has come through the headlining! sad.gif

From what i can understand, dynamat extreme is the best stuff, but it costs a fortune! The stuff i found has the same sound deadening properties but according to that website isn't much chop.

Does anyone think that 55 degrees in a car is enough to melt this stuff? I know my car gets that hot on a 40 degree day cause i measured it on the last one we had.

Cheers

How much are you getting it for including shipping?

im sure a dynamat bulk pack from fhrx would work out better value

I haven't had any melt, but I got aircon, so it rarely gets above 30 or so.

As with most things you get what you pay for.

Yes Dynamat Extreme and Stinger Roadkill Expert are expensive but they do the job well .... you won't find them sagging or dripping or falling off on hot days.

As for other cheap stuff .... who knows .... buy at your own risk.

I'm getting this stuff for $305 including shipping for 100 square feet, when you consider that the best i can get dynamat for is $250 including shipping for 36square feet.

So it is significantly cheaper but whats the deal with the sticky stuff on it, will it hold up. I cant find any evidence that it has failed but i'm sure it must have in some conditions.

Are you talking about this B-quiet?

Read reviews and user comments/testimonial's if you can good.gif

Edit:
People seem to be quite satisfied with it...

I've got old school dynamat in my car that was applied over 10 years ago (including the roof) and shows no sign of going anywhere.

yep, another vote for Dynamat Extreme! its awesome stuff, and has no problem sticking to itself aswell (if u wish to have multiple layers)

You ought to pay more attention to our specials page. The bulk packs have been on sale this week for $230. Sale ends tomorrow. smile.gif

What about for me, living in North-West WA.

Where, in summer it is usually 40+ degrees everyday.

My car would easily get to well over 60-70 degrees after being in the sun... sad.gif Would the dynamat become unstuck?

Sorry to hijack the thread but its a similar question. Thanks.
sean
I don't think it would become unstuck at all in those temps... It wouldn't even have to get to 40degrees for the interior of my car to get to 60 or 70. I haven't had any issues with my dynamat extreme either...

i live in the nt.

both my rammat and dynamat don't look like they will become unstuck any time soon smile.gif

G'day

Had a good read of the feedback on there website and all seams to be good, how ever. What about the bad experiences. Ive done a search through some forums i found on google and still couldn't find a bad word about it, so maybe its the go tongue.gif

I think i will head down this path but will use their ultimate stuff in the doors and on the roof and use the extreme on the floor, firewall and the rear part of the cab. That way if it does fail it will be where it cant drip onto anything, just sink to the lowest point.

I'll be doing this over the next 2 months so i will have a post explaining how good it seams to be.

this might be of some interest to you: http://www.sounddeadenershowdown.com/

i use dynamat xtreme and it hasn't been a problem at all... sticks like crazy. one thing i tried that doesn't work is double-sided tape - use it on the inside of your door and it'll come unstuck in a matter of days smile.gif

DYNAMAT XTREME FTW! i swear by this stuff, its utterly brilliant and not as expensive as people complain that it is... its definatly worth every cent in my opinion.
