how much has CAA cost you

i wanted to start this topic basically to see how many people are like me, i remember when i first got my licence, i went straight down to our local car audio store and bought a one of them pro audio series clarion 12s which were only $99 lol grabbed some 8AWG whilst i was there, then went to cash converters and got one of them 400W weconic 2 channel amps, headed home, wired it all up, thought i was a pro because i had actually done it thought stock speakers are the bomb, stereo cranks, goes so hard lol, then join CAA and realise, OMG my stereo is crap and now have spent alot of money making something that i can now be proud of. Now before people read this and think im complaining about CAA costing me money hehe, i was only wondering how many people were like me, young and dumb then woke up and discovered CAA and what car audio is all about
Pulse-R
I have found CAA a great resource for friends and knowledge about car audio.
I would have spent a lot more on my system over time if I didn't have the feedback and foresight afforded by CAA and the CAASQ competiton.

So in that way, CAA has saved me more than it has cost me.

CAA has almost cost me my job a few times now because I keep getting pinged for sittin in front of the puter reading the forums instead of getting off my lazy ass and doing some work LOL

Haha, I bought a 12" Clarion Pro Series as well for my first sub! I bought it, but wasn't real sure what it was... I remember the guy telling me I needed and amp so I ran it off the rear channels of an Alpine HU. I bought a Kenwood KAC-626 (I think) and the rest is history. I only found CAA about a year ago, but I have been playing for 8 year's now...
mazda626
x3 for the clarion pro series... i bought 2 of them in 12" as my first subs, they actually went quite well, i thrashed em for a while and ended up gettin 137.1 db in my wagon in a sealed box... then i sold them cause i was over doof doof and getting mreo into sq hehe...

350 bucks in box they cost me

but then i came on here and was alerted to there shortcomings

so let me think

jvc kd-g615- 220
fusion 6.5 coaxials120
apa 2001- 250
clarion pa12-s x2 - 350
dls pro slimlines- 150

then- jaycar 4x50- 150
pioneer 6x9's for rear fill- 120

clarion dpx 1001.2- 250
Kicker IX252- 45
broken boston 12.5lf - 350

alpine mrv-t500- 100
JL 12w3v2-120

Total: $2225

plus all wiring etc probly spent round 200 on that plus other little tidbits
