some of you may know i've been hunting around for these.
FYI i've found myself a nice little early Gen Phaze Audio TD-1500 Hand made by butler for that warmer sound i like and the deal is almost sealed.
However, this morning before i sealed the deal on my TD1500 i rang butler audio in the US up.
They have some "B-stock" 2150 blue drivers that are for sale now for 599 USD.
These are mechanically perfect and simpyl have some tiny nicks on the bottom edges of the casing that they didnt' like (so i'm told) and photos could be provided on request.
he reakons that the can ship them to us in aust for approx 100 USD with arrival to customs in 3-10 working days and they can also aid with the customs declaration so we don't get hit with the big tax.
best thing about this is that these still carry a 1 year butler warranty (return to base in the US as it seems they have no authorized distributor in aust.)
I mentioned that i liked how the TD-1500 i wanted to get had Mr Butler's signature on it, the bloke laughed and told me that BK butler still does the QC checks for ea amp individually and he would be more then happy to sign the one i bought.
now that's service!

699 USD for a new butler with warranty seems like a great deal to me and i thought i'd share it.
