Hey guys - anyone installed a reverse camera and using car's existing screen for picture. I have a BF Ford was wondering it it's worth/ease in installing it myself. Ta

You need an interface to do it, if you haven't worked on one before or you are not confident don't touch it.

We have some very well trained staff (Electronics engineering background) that scratched their heads a few times when we went to do the first BA with the color screen for an interface, there was a bit of equipment involved not just a reversing camera, but it is not something that you want to tackle yourself if you are even the slightest bit unsure.

The colour screen in the falcons are easy now. There is GPS that plugs streight in. I think its about $1050.

sorry to dig up an old thread, i want to hook my in car dvd up to the cars screen, is it just a Pal to ntsc converter? or is the cars screen a different format?

The input for the factory screen is RGB so you need a composite to RGBV converter. Id suggest you speak to a retailer who has done one.

you need help from the professional engineers on installation if the camera need to drill a hole at the rear of the car.
