It was my first ever event and I had a great time.
I hadn't planned on entering anything but at the last minute decided to go in the novice SQ category so i could get some feedback.. not only did i get some feedback but i got lucky- i was the only competitor- WINNER!!!! ooooh yeah 1 from 1- look out boys n girls!!!!
Everyone I talked to were awesome- Sam, Bill, Jeff *spelling, Matt and a few others who I didn't catch their names. I was wowed by all of the setups there.
Thanks to the guys who ran it
If I don't see you guys on the forums i'll see you at the next event.
Peace

Yeah looks like the Amateur field is filling out a bit, which is great for MEASQ, I like the fact that we are getting more people in and the comp is getting a little tighter for placing's, gives me the motivation to try and improve some things, namely new A pillars which I'm hoping will improve some things Ian has pointed out.
Sorry I wasnt able to hang around, wish I couldve stayed longer, unfortunately I forgot to check dates when i got the Pink tickets, but the concert was awesome.
Anyway guys see you all at the next comp or tnt.

i thought it was a good event even though it lacked many spectators, thanks Steve for the pointers, and congratulations Andrew, if you had a fire extingiusher and no noise you would have won by a whopping 17 points!!!

yer wasnt alot of spectators there, was a pretty good day, seemed to drag on abit at then end but that prob wasnt helped much by my self induced sickness lol.
feel sorry for ian he had quite a few cars to judge.
ive still got a few little things that i need to sort out, i really need to stop being lazy

i gained a massive 10 points since the last comp from all the stuff i've done to my car lately and for Richard to have gained an extra 13 points he deserves the win! good to see the comp getting better! Congrats mate!

i lost 6 points for my extinguisher and fuse ( i was expecting that )
guess i'll have to do something about that ( think i got 99 points last year's event in september as well )
going to have to do some tuning for next comp to catch the mini and astina.....

OT Warning, Try dropping your crossover point, I find if you cross your sub to high they will tend to become overly dominent and drone a little, and EQ your mids up, I have my Mids crossed at 80hz 12db, and my sub crossed at 63hz 24db, I find this works really well for me (yes thats a gap but go with what sounds right), but I havent really heard your car which I'll have to make a point of so I can listen to other cars in my class. Gives you something to try that might help

i like my k2ps at 18db 63hz sub 18db 63 hz also thanks andrew for the tip. the k2's have tons of bass for a little driver! and damn that little 10" pumps some bass ash! and don't touch you eq just get the sub at the right level. rta don't lie playing eq games will really only colour the sound.
