i find it a little disappointing considering both nsw and qld advertise the next comp a month in advance... and we seem to find out a week before..

and i need to know whether this is a day or night comp..
if its a night comp, i can gurantee my non-attendance.. have other priorities that night, which i knew about a month in advance..

Do I see any volunteers offering to help liaise with potential event hosts and so forth? I have asked for members / competitors to speak up if they think they can help previously.

Details are still being finalised. The proposed host store is Autobarn Narre Warren at the moment. This will be confirmed or denied Monday / Tuesday.

I am happy to change the event to SUNDAY Day as opposed to SATURDAY (DAY) - Night event will not be possible at the suggested location.

If you can all respond to this ASAP, I will base our decision on the majority of replies here.

Just for the record guys, we are snowed under here at the moment with work, orders and life in general. CAASQ is a "hobby" and I wish I could give you a month's notice on events. Unfortunately we don't have stores screaming at us to host events so it's an effort to find locations. We also have only dial up internet access at the moment (for nearly a week now) so spare a thought for the reasons why said events are not organised more in advance.

Instead of having a dig, raise your hand and offer to help! Please!

Either day would be fine with me Marc .... which ever is easiest for the organising team & host to work with

Sunday would be better, early morning to get there dep on start time.

I know saturdays would be better for everyone, including guests.The only people that are un avalaible saturdays are those that work saturday mornings,. Why cant they just pay up front and turn up for judging later.
Anyway lots of members know why i dont compete sundays, plus the saturday comps are always better and will continue to be better, and i am a firm believer that saturday arvo comps have the ability to expand to a greater degree and incorporate a wider audience than sunday comps.
Of course this is dependent on the finish times.For example if u allowed members/enthusiasts a 3 hour drive back home then 9pm finish would be the latest u would want to finish.........cors

what time does it start?

about 9 or 10 morning start usually - finish around 4 pm

yeah sunday is good,

saturday is the last day of the finacial year = stocktake, i wouldnt be able to make it saturday (and lets hope it all gets finnished on the saturday)

C'mon Rob .... you're the Manager .... if stocktake doesn't get finished .... then delegate ....
