Id just like to get some peoples opinions on midranges.

will a 4" have a noticable difference over a 3.5", if they are from the same model range?

how would installation position affect this also?

thanks in advance

IMO the difference in the mids will be more than the size. it's about all the other things, and diameter/Xmax is the last thing.

in theory 4" should go lower, but 3-1/2" will play higher. mounting is important, and the 4" will need about twice the enclosure volume.

a good point that could sway a descision although not all mids require an enclosure and can be run IB.

indeed.

twice enclosure volume, meaning, around 0.5l for the 3.5 and around 1l for the 4"

this could very much sway a decision..

Hmmm yes 1L would count me out for either a kick or dash location, thats why I went with Hybrid.
