Another great event .... even if it was a bit cold .... well alright .... damn cold, but at least the rain did hold off till the end of the day.
The turnout was a bit small so I guess the wet weekend did take its toll.

A big thanks to Sam, Brett from Phatt Audio for hosting this event at such short notice.
Also a big thanks too all the sponsors, judges and helpers without who today wouldn't have been possible and especially Joe for manning the BBQ .... those snags were a real life saver in this cold wink.gif

The competition was again very close, congrats to all the winners today .... Well done to the Ballarat boys Adam & Brian for taking out first & second in Am Street countback .... and Brian for taking out the encouragement award as well .... well done wink.gif

Pro Street was also very tight with Dom just getting home in front of Bruce on a count back ... well done guys smile.gif

Looking forward to the next round wink.gif
addikt

I didnt make it - I had car troubles after driving over a lump of concrete some f##ker left in the middle of my street.

So I spent the day lying under the car in the rain.

Wish I could have been there
Timm3h
Well done to Brian and Adam, I'd love to hear your cars and see how mine differs.... wink.gif Hopefully next round my Head Unit is a little less temperamental.
~Spyne~
well i'll add my 2c in now too that its lunch here at work.

pretty much echo others' sentiments...
was a good day, if not a little on the cold side. thankfully the rain did hold out pretty much all day and i cant wait till we switch to a more summer-time season schedule.
thanks to the boys at phatt for hosting on short notice, they always provide a good venue. thanks to joe for the bbq, top work, although i'm sure u didnt mind standing infront of a nice warm bbq all day anyway, lol
thanks to jay for his work on the mic in the db lanes, was hard work keeping everyone entertained and trying to get people involved in the 'fun' db day, esp with only 4-5 cars really interested.
thanks to all the judges for their time and comments, marc for actually organising the event, and ness for doing the scoresheets.

congrats to all winners in other classes, and big congrats to brian for coming equal 1st with me in am. st. in only ur second comp - maybe next time i shouldnt help u tune ur stereo, lol (j/k mate, anytime u want an outside ear to listen and give help, just ask)
thanks to all those that let me have a listen to their cars, was good to hear them all again, esp yours alan (still love the sound)
bad luck to timmeh with the broken tweeter at last minute, and the dodgy wiring/headunit...i'm sure u'll be back up there next time

i think thats about it, i'll try and get photos up over the next week

Just a quick congratulations to all competitors - especially the Ballarat presence! Well done Brian on the Encouragement Award and finishing second place in Am St and a big thumbs-up to Adam for all the work he's put in to finish first! Makes me wish I'd made it up (although I'd be the one letting the team down!) but will see all at the next event I hope.
Cuz
had a pretty good day despite the cold. The mood seemed to be down a little, but i'm sure that will change for round 4.

Andrea was very happy with her awards smile.gif

It wasn't too cold sitting in cars most of the day.

Got a bit louder on the dB Blast (but more to do for next dB event) 146 is a good step up and new PB, even if it's not a sanctioned score.

Thanks to all the organisers and operatives. those sausages were yumm!!

firstly, big thanks 2 all who made it and showed the support this industry needs, it's u guys that keep us going, luv seeing the cars changing ever round and turning things up a level at every comp, keep it up every1 smile.gif
Next, thanks for all the compliments on the systems we do, our customers play a big part in our installs, we make sure we build their systems 2 suit their needs, not ours! Sometimes u can get some awesome input from them smile.gif
And as for those STI door grills... it's photo etched nickel plate... done through our shop of coarse, we can pretty much do any shape or style as long as it fits on an A4 piece of paper smile.gif we can make some awesome badges too smile.gif please feel free 2 call for more info on anything u guys see and would like 2 know more about smile.gif
Once again BIG thanks 2 Marc and Ness, all the judges and M.E.A crew, even in freezing cold weather, all feelin sick as dogs, we all still did a great job smile.gif big pat on the back guys smile.gif look forward 2 the next round, might b a little closer with mine (yeah right, if it's ever finished! lol)

Hmmmm Sam, can the same pattern be replicated over and over, say for a grill to cover a set of I/D horns??? I would be very tempted in this, just for show usage.

Cheers,

Clint
