Firstly, I do not have the results sad.gif some one shall post them soon enough anyhow.

I just wanted to start the ball rolling and say thanks to Dan and the rest of the organisation group that put the work in to get these things to happen, to get the trophies, plaques, certificates, gift bags, etc made up and ready, etc.

It was a good night, unfortunately i forgot a jumper and my hands went numb(no, they really did) but none-the-less it was a good night for me, got to meet some new people, looka nd listen to some new systems.

But i forgot my damn score sheet! i was in such a rush after the presentations to get back to my heater and then my home and a nice warm bed, that it slipped my mind.... So, I was wondering if there is any way i can get my hands on that? Dan?

Yea, I'll second all of that, except I had a jumper tongue.gif but it still got cold later in the night

Was definately good to hear other people's set ups as well

Cheers to All!

Was a good night, Learnt quite a bit about the whole SQ thing, and got some good feedback about the stereo. I'm quite keen to make some changes and see how i go at the next event. I just hope next time isn't quite as freezing. smile.gif

it was a bloody good night, pretty good turnout too, i reckon we need some live entertainment tho, maybe a stand up comedian lol,
Good work to all the novice people, that was a really really high standard of cars there, especially Justins polo
Scuby_snax84
Does anybody know what the Polo Scored?

I know i got 99 and Ashley with the Viva got 93 but i missed what Justin scored.

I heard only good things about that car, wish i had a chance to have a look/listen.
antisven
not sure, i missed that too, i can tell you tho the bass was completely up front , sounded smooth across the board and was pretty airy, id love to see what an eq could do in there
Louie
Pretty sure Justin got 105, so he was pretty close to the am scores there. The sound coming from the car was awesome though, pretty damn smooth throughout as well
OEG50
gotta say it was a good night and my CAUTION WILD GIRLS tape got some laughs ;-)

I ended up with 105 points - I was thinking I'd get less than that... *phew*

Thanks for the wonderful feedback and the compliments laugh.gif I would really like to thank Sam and Andrew (I hope I got your name right antisven) for their valuable feedback on my car. I hope I can improve on my weaknesses for next time. And thank you to Autobarn Capalaba for using their parking space and the organisers.

I'm already working on the tweeter positions, and hopefully that should solve the problem. If not, an eq will be a must. I've also got something else planned for the next competition whenever it is tongue.gif

Also, I must thank Riley for giving me a few tips just before the competition started and Jon who helped me build this system. Thanks guys - I owe you both one.

Good night all round. The standard in am street was high, with most regular competitors making solid improvements.

Thanks to all for being patient also. As a judge I allocate the same amount of time for each car, to ensure everybody gets a thorough and fair evaluation.
tricache
good turn out I thought...was damn cold but all in all was a good night

Justin's Polo is insane haha...can't believe he got 1st in his first ever comp haha

I was disappointed my dB score was nothing what it used to be...maybe time to goto SQ

Still managed 2nd in Street A which I am still laughing about.

would like to thank Jon (for my full install, a mad scientist if any), Justin (for wanting me to do more to my stereo), all the guys who helped out and got everything organized (Michael at the dB drags for the lend of the CDs...thanks mate) and Autobarn Capalaba, really liked the layout of the night

also gotta say Matthew's Tiburon is hot as and I only took a few photos and they are below --

can't wait till the next one

glad u wernt next to me while tuning tongue.gif prob all over the road lol

i just turned my sub up alittle and cranked it listening to the noom (thanks ian!) got a few strange looks on the way home tongue.gif

was a good night, bloody cold though.

spent an hour or so today sitting my my car, trying to work out why my staging had changed so much when alli changed was abit of eq, then finaly remembered when i was driving the other week my tweeter fell off the other week when i was driving so i just randomly stuck it back on, so it wasnt hanging. rotating the tweeter bout 10 degrees gave me an extra 40~cm's width.

this car was sounding pretty good...makes me want to rip all the gear out of my car and put it in my mums VW Polo.....the dash is so deep and the tweeters are so far foward.....would score like a 17 for stage depth lol
