I just aquired a new shop, and a new business called Delta Systems. I specialise in building Car Computers.
I have a long IT history, and also am passionate about car audio, i figured if i combined the two it would be the best for me as i am not yet aware of anyone else doing this professionally.
I also do car entertainment systems such as DVD, CD-Players, SUBs n Amps etc, but my main goal is CarPCs. Ive worked on quite a few cars and will soon post up pics. The website www.deltasystems.com.au will be up soon as quick as i could finish it.en technic
Just thought id drop a line, and infor anyone who maybe intereseted, now that im a forum memeber i will also answer any questions here, even technical ones. Im here to help , but also for those that arent familiar or just need it done quickly (2-3 days turnaround - incar installation and oftware setup included).
I charge 1600-2500 depending on systems components and level of detailed needed. All come with gps, startu shutdown controller, DVD playback, tochscreens (motorized or dashtop) and are roughly the size of an amp.
Basic
For $1600 you get the VIA Epia 1Ghz, 256DDR Ram,40GBHDD Lilliput Dash Top touchscreen , Built in GPS and a case that resembles and amplifier and is roughly the same size, software setup (your own windows copy, 120 extra for legit copy) and a very neat frontend (the software that controls the carpc)
And installation (screen attatched to dash or air vents or held on by magnets, no mouldings.)
This also is linked to your car cd stereo (need to have aux in or ill supply fm transmitter for 50 extra for ease of use) (NO DVD), AUSTRALIAN GPS MAPS and REARVIEW CAMERA,Bluetooth
Takes one day to do software and most likely one day to install in car, either under the seat, in the boot etc, liek an amp,..
Intermediate System
For $2000
you get similar VIA Epia 1Ghz,but 512GB DDR or 1GB $20 extra), 120 GB HDD or 200GB for $40 extra
and a Lilliput In-Dash Motorized Touchscreen with Built in TV and Fm Tuner, so no need to have a Deck anymore, will wire to yor amp if you have one or Deck if you have one, this oneis hardwired, depends on car and whats in it already, will provide a very good quality Amplifier (Sony XM554ZR - Z SERIES AMP 55W X 4 MAX POWER 600W. with low and high pass filter, high level input and high level auto sensing. Line - Low Level Input x 4. Speaker - Hi Level Input x 4. High Level Auto Sensing ) for $250 or otehr calll for questions, Australian GPS MAPS, DVD PLAYBACK AND REARVIEW CAMERA, and WIFI access, Bluetooth
This is recommended for enthusiastes, as i said pricing depends on what car make model and whats already doen to it, if it has Din Slots already or not, and udio input, if u want wireless internet etc. This is aguide, will posty detailed pricelists on website and detailed services, these are unique systems, i build abd test them in the lab 1st and run through all processes before they are put in the car, then you can confim its what you want and for extra $ 40 ill create you a rescue DVD, whoch resest all the settings incase somethiong goes on later on, and ill keep a copy at the shop under your customer number incase you lose it - this will make it very easy to repar unlike the computer your on now...takes about 10 mins to restore system andyoiu wont lose your data (HDD is partitioned into 3 Parts, System, Backup, and DATA) recomende you store all musics, tv shows, videos, dvds etc on DATA so when system is formated you dont need to lose all your info.
Even provide services for new cars with moulded custom dashes, i domt make them but can find a supplier for you,, so if you have say a new Murano etc, thispops inpalce of the CD player and makes it double din so no cutting etc to the car is necessary. I aim to keep all cars returnable to stock, Usually no holes required at all, no rilling of dash etc. Only if you request amp or actual pc be mounted under reear parcel shelf (recommeded).

My shop is in Glendenning, 4/78 Glendenning road Glendenning, 2176, 2 min from M7 near blacktown, howevr i live in Bankstown and service most sydney area, will also come to you for $160 and install at your home or office (two days, one to show you system, one to install system\)
Even though it may onky take 2-3 days, some parts may not be available straight aways as there all unique and theres rarely anysuppliers here so most are shipped from the US. Give 1-2 Weeks maximum for deliveries to come....but usually if you want predetermined systems, it takes only 1 day to ship items locally.
