for 500 i got a pair of 6inch speakers in my front doors,i checked they wanted 200 bux for them walked out the front they had a clearance on them they had 39.95. an a head unit which i liked a new pineer ont worth 300.the one they were going to sell me was worth 100 and it was some brand i didnt even know of.so they wanted 400 bux for stuff worth less then 150 and he said cos i looked like a good kid hed give me a deal

ok i get it,im a dumb teenager but im not that dumb i felt so little

My advice, is edit that post, and use grammar, punctuation and proper spelling for a start. That is a mess. I can barely understand half of it, sorry.

Now, $300 for a headunit, speakers, sub and amp, is fantasy. For $300, expect a basic level Head unit, with little to no 'good' features, and only 1 or 2 pre-outs.

For $300, you could get all of the gear you want, but i am sure it wouldn't be endorsed by anyone on here... And would be very low quality, both sound and build wise.

You say the store tried to sell you speakers for 200$, but had then on sale for 40, were they the exact same speakers? or just the same size speakers?

There isnt alot of info that can be gained from your post unfortunately, as it is very confusing to read. Brand and model numbers of all the items mentioned would be of great help.

I'll second all of what Alex said. Clear up a bit of what you are trying to say, as it is difficult to follow exactly what you are talking about.

For $300 you really won't get multiple quality items, and if that includes install then you are running even less of a budget. Once you've cleared up your intentions/queries we'll be able to help you a bit better

they were the same brand of speakers.i dont care about looks.

its ok im puting in a 12 inch sub an a 800w amp.
trism
same brand does not equal same speakers.

can someone move this to the beginners section please?
Riley.
remove "boi" from your username....thats how i can help you out

but look what you want and what we talk about a Sound Quality are two very different things....for starters your entire budget is smaller than what most people would spend on one component in thier system

my advice would be to buy a head unit (maybe look at the Jaycar one it has lots of features for a good price) and then maybe even the 4" speakers from jaycar

but thats already $300 there without having any of it installed so you might need to look at 2nd hand off the forums if thats an option for you

also if you know someone that can install it for you that makes life alot easier for you.....if you already have the sub and amp, all you really need to add is something like the jaycar setup i just mentioned (if there is no jaycar near you i think you can order it online)

Why are your rushing things? You are making impulse decisions which will result in a crap system with a crap install....IMO WASTE OF MONEY.

Speak in English, show us that your not a stupid teenager and we can be some great help. I am a stupid teenager myself, but this forum can be a load of information.

But really....a $300 audio system? Can 't be done!

My first speakers were 4" and I quickly decided they weren't going to do it for me

Then I wasted a lot of money on ~average~ gear before I took the plunge and got something decent

I'm quite sure you won't be happy with just 4" speakers and its better to wait and save for something worth getting

Install shops vary in price quite a lot but I'd say the cheaper ones might cut corners
