In 1989 I installed my first radio cassette player. Nineteen years later I have sold my last pair of Dynaudios. The decision to leave the car audio industry as a profession has not been an easy one, but it has been a necessary one. Selling Mobile Audio Solutions is a move I have not made lightly but I feel the time is right to pass the baton on to someone who shares my passion for high end car audio. Not only that but he has enormous drive and the talent and resources to take the company above and beyond where I have brought it up to this point.

M.A.S was started in 2002 by James Facer and myself with our original product being Dynaudio. Over the last five years the company has secured distribution for many of the worlds best car audio products, including Image Dynamics, ARC Audio, TRU Technology and Audiosystem. We have sold product into every state and territory of Australia and have enjoyed particular success in both Queensland and Western Australia. While not the biggest car audio distribution company I maintain we are the best in terms of servicing specialist dealers. We have always retained a strong commitment to small specialist dealers and have resisted the shortsighted temptation to do business with the box moving chains, online stores and direct to customers; this I am sure has much to do with my own beginnings as a specialist car audio shop owner and installer.

My love of car audio and high quality in car sound reproduction is still strong, if not stronger than it ever has been but the pressures of family life, and running a second business designing and installing home theatres, has left me in a position where the hours in the day cannot be stretched far enough to fit everything in.

Also, as some of you know, the sudden tragic loss of my agent and very good friend in Perth late last year has caused me to reflect on my life and how you should make the most of what you have. The individual mentioned earlier is none other than Drew Stibbards, perhaps known to some of you as the owner of Northfield Moorooka in Brisbane. It is stating the obvious to say he has a strong passion for car audio, particularly high-end car audio so he was a natural choice when I decided to hands over the reins.

Thank you everyone for your support over the years, without which I would have just been a bloke sitting in a warehouse full of speakers, but thanks to your help, I have had the best five years anyone could ask for. Thanks.
