All,

After 3 straight years as a competitor and judge of CAASQ I have now decided to bid farewell. It's been a wonderful experience for me, I've accomplished plenty and reached many goals. Have also met some really cool people along the way.

I've seen this forum grow and evolve into what it is today, but to be blatanly honest, this saddens me. As one can probably gauge from my signature, I am not a fan of the new name and believe it was unnecessary. Car Audio Australia was all about enthusiasts and ALWAYS remained impartial to industry stakeholders. Not anymore. Sure, I understand it's probably inevitable the forum was going to turn commercial, but in doing so it lost its heart and soul.

With the above in mind, plus a life that has completely changed direction in the last 6 months, I simply dont have the time nor the drive to commit to judging anymore. My interest in car audio will always remain strong, however other activities, family and friends now take precedence.

Thank you all who have helped me along the way - special mention to Drew and the team at Northfield Moorooka for turning my dream of a competition winning car into reality. To all competitors and their systems I've had the pleasure of listening to, thank you. The knowledge I've gained from doing so is invaluable. To Cruiser (Dan) , thanks for all the good times and may your passion never die.

Mine has not and who knows, maybe one day you'll see me back on the scene. The Accord cant last forever cool.gif

Best of luck for the future Ian and thanks again for all the good feedback.

Though I'm sure we'll still see you around a bit whether on here or at a meet sometime.

What do you mean Accord's cant go on for ever... thats why I bought my Euro !!! LOL

Best of luck for the future Ian... I made the same call as you a number of years ago. While I still have the inclination for good audio, times change and you have to move on sometime.

Take it easy and might see you walking around one of the events one day.. will say hello for sure.

Cheers
Mark

having judges give up their time. to help out. to show the newbs how its done. is an awesome thing to do. despite u not agreeing with the direction the competition/forum is going. without ppl like you volunteering their time it would not have grown at all. Thanks.
antisven
well good luck in the change, there will be a spot for you when you come back
