Round 4 turned on some spectacular weather for us today .... sunny and sensational.
Autobarn Narre Warren hosted a great day .... lots of things to look at with Demo cars from Orion, Kenwood and Pioneer.
Lots to eat and drink .... the guy with the BBQ supplying free sausages to competitors .... and then they had a mobile Coffee guy who had all your favorite coffee drinks .... and to top it all off .... free Krispy Kreme Doughnuts .... how can you go wrong with that
The day ran very smoothly and quickly and we had the earliest finish ever .... around 3:30ish for the presentations so everyone got to go home early

Was great to catch up with everone again as it has been a long time since the last round.
A big thank you to all the people involved, Sponsors, Competitors, Organisers, Judges, Helpers .... without you guys and gals great days like today wouldn't be possible.
I'll post up some pics a little later on

As the sun shone down from the blue skies above, Krispy Kreme's rained down on us and filled our hearts with a warm fuzzy feeling (also known as sugar rush, or heart burn).
Was an enjoyable day and good to catch up with a lot of the guys and listen to some nice systems.
Thanks to the guys who made this possible, and congrats to all competitors

Today is a day of joy. There was smoothness in the air I think. No major Hiccups (except Bruce's tweeter

) and the weather was excellent, although a bit warm for my sensitive voice coils.. hahahahaha
anyways, it was great to see lots of people, including spectators, really enjoying the displays.
Sleep now...

I'de like to say i had a great time at my first SQ event, was great to finally meet those i hadnt yet met and have a good look at some damn fine systems/installs.
Saturday was the first time I had seen Adam's International, what an amazing car, definately one of the best of its kind in the country!
I can't wait for the next comp, I've got a couple of tweaks needed to catch up to Andrea's swift (she won by just 3 points)
Does anyone have the results ready to post up yet?

what a day.. had a late start getting brian and adam's car but still got there at 9:30 which was good... the weather was exceptional!!
big thanks to Autobarn Narre Warren for holding the event, and the food/coffee vans for the support to make it a more social event..

altho thanks to the organisers, judges and competitors alike for making caasq events what they are..
was good being the photographer again, and really used the new camera well.. i didnt compete due to finances, but would have been good to see how close it would have been with the 3 cars in Am Show..
congrats to the winners...

was good meeting you broadz.. nice wrx you got there.. leave the stock wheels on it..

also thanks to addikt for letting me demo the dead ute..

hope all who demo'd mine enjoyed it..

leave the stock wheels on it..

I can't, makes the car sit way too low (< 50mm)..... did you see the trouble i had trying to get out of the car park and the big line of cars waiting behind me whilst trying to navigate the speed bumps

Nice camera you have there damo, only prob is now you have to worry about shrinking the 5+mb photos so they are easier to upload.
Just a suggestion next comp, how about name tags or even a simple sticker/label with your MEA name on it?

resizing the pics is easy.. download an XP image resizer.. can resize all 200 pics in bout 2 minutes..
Pics are uploaded... and are
HERE!! some pics of mine..

^^^ Other direction

^^^ Pioneer demo 350Z

^^^ db_bloke's boot

^^^ nice door build outs

^^^ Broadz's car

^^^ Broadz's install

^^^ I think this trophy would have made the day more special for brian, bringing adam's International down for the comp.. Adam was part of the team in the SPL mini back in 2003 that took out the finals.. the little fella with the big trophy.. now resides in his parent's possession..

^^^ Mmmmm... donuts...

both red wrxs had the installs to drool over.
I hope more people from the forums turn up just to have a look and a chat. Its a very friendly atmosphere and just great fun.
i think anyone on this forum whom wants to learn about their car audio should attemd and if they should also give competing a go too.

The weather was fantastic.
Very smoothly run, well done marc + judges for giving up your valuable time. I was surprised to get a first. I felt very welcome having recently moved interstate, good to chat with everyone and put faces to forum names.
Free Sausages much appreciated too. Autobarn, cheers for the venue.
Hopefully I'll get some time and money to fix up things for the next round so I can truly deserve the win.

question??? if there is only 1 round left between now and wagga and not 2 like on event callender does that mean it will be later in the month than round 5 is on the callender? i hope so coz my car is in pieces getting re trimmed and i dont get them back for 2 to 3 weeks!!!

I'm pretty sure there is only one more round before Wagga.
Marc should be announcing the date and venue in the next week or so.

Obviously this would not have been possible without the help of FHRX Studios who did the install.
I can't say enough about how helpful Marty and his entire operation were in putting this car together for me. It must have cost them cash! So many unmentioned costs that go into an install (including buying the wrong gear which with the help of a place like FHRX won't happen), these guys do it because they love what they do (and a little bit of money), but mostly love of music. Go to these people and don't mess around with anyone else. I will write up a story on my blog about FHRX when life is a little less busy, there is that much praise and work you would not believe. They are also Very competitive on price, give em a call NOW...
