Congratulations to all! clapping.gif

We had a great season in NSW in all classes, especially Am St where we had the most numbers. We have set a great foundation for CAASQ in NSW with plenty of friendly competitors and superb sounding cars to back it up.

I have listed everyone in the leaderboard because i feel we all deserve praise and an honourable mention no matter where we placed, after great effort to get this many numbers in our (official) debut season. good.gif

We should no doubt be a fighting force in 2 weeks time at Wagga Wagga.

Looking forward to next season!

- Rick.

PS: Apologies if i got any of the names or usernames wrong. If so, let me know and ill edit it. wink.gif

Top gesture Rick. I still clearly remember round 1 as I initially wanted to see what the competition scene was like, how it was run, and basically just wanted to listen to a few cars and learn some more about car audio. Marty changed that pretty quick when he handed me the entry form and the rest is history as they say!

I must say I always looked forward to the end of each month and another round of competition. While I know I've never been in a position to win a round this season, I've always enjoyed catching up with the NSW crew and having a good chat and listen to a few cars.

Looking forward to the Nationals now and I'm sure all competitors from NSW who are going down to Wagga will perform well.

WOOT im changing my sig

Big shout to the judges and organizers of the venues, trophy's food and just general running of things. it was a top season and pretty smoothly run.

cant wait for next year. the new rules/judging seemed to work pretty well with all i spoke to so hopefully with a year under the belt next year will be even better.

the points system worked a treat too(says the one who is on top) it encouraged attendance and consistency but still allowed for tight competition despite some of the top guys missing a round or 2.

cant wait for wagga i have so much to do and there is like 10 days to go!!!!!!!!!

Congrats to everyone for making it a great year. Well done Jonathan and Daniel who deserve there placings
in am st top effort.I always try to make it to most rounds and this year got in 5 out of 7 as its nearly a 5hr round trip its not easy but its always worth it with the members friendly and good for a chat and helpful advice.

The organising (and food )is always good and a big thanks to marty and the judges for playing there big part and i believe there positive attitude is a big part off the success.

Top year guys in NSW, give yourselves a pat on the back.. such a successfull year in NSW, lets see what happens at the nationals in Wagga. We did judge tough this year, so competitors can make positive improvements, to help everyone gets their systems sounding the best they can! hope every competitor appreciates that..
Wish my system was installed in the Territory, just bad timing of getting a new car mid season, and not even starting on it yet! Wish i could make Wagga with a complete system, still there is a slight chance Marty has told me to get crackin on my car, so you never know..
funkdr
Congrats go out to Jono, Jack, Marty and Edwin all top notch cars

Also thanks to all th am street guys for some awesome competition

and I am stoked with runner up am street
MRVJ
Well Done to the NSW Guys,

Alot of Great Competiton and Good Sounding Cars,
To the Judges and Organisers, I would like to thank you for a Wonderful Season and well organised Events.

To Jono/Rick and Marty, During these past few months of competing along side you, I have Learnt a great deal off you guys and thanks for the opportunity to bounce ideas off you.

It has also become apparent that some VIC and QLD Competitors don't seem to acknowledge our achievements, but hopefully this will change once we kick their asses at Finals biggrin.gif
Sierra
Congrats to all NSW competitors .... a great year up there for sure smile.gif

It's a credit to all you guys for the growth that you have had this year .... 7 rounds ... full fields to each round ... great stuff!

Last year at the finals there was just a handfull of you guys ... this year you are staging an onslaught .... the spirit of MEA is alive and well in NSW smile.gif

Guys; let's not let pride get the better of us.

Over the years I have judged many of the VIC and QLD cars at the various finals and I'll be the first to say competing against them will certainly by no easy task. Many of them sound extremely impressive and beating some of them could prove to be quite difficult. wink.gif
muzzy66
I'm with Marty on this one. It's good to have confidence, but underestimating your competition is the first step to failure.

Expect the best from your competition, as it will bring the best out of yourself smile.gif
~Spyne~
no, please do underestimate us!!!! please!?!?!

congrats to all competitors...as alan has said, its great to see nsw back on the scene, and in such strong force too
nationals will be awesome!! (drinky, drinky)

Congrats to all top ten competitors in am street, we had consistant numbers at each round, and it was very tightly contested! It was an awesome first year for me, as a learner, with all that quality sound to influence me and I loved every round, no matter how I placed.

Congrats to Marty, Edwin, Jack and Jono, well done guys.

Im under no illusion that the VIC and QLD guys will be extremely difficult to beat, and would officially like to say that I second ~Spynes~ awesome suggestion (drinky, drinky) and would like to join him and all the mexicans (and the two banana benders) in necking as much fire water as possible smile.gif Wagga WILL be awesome smile.gif

Underestimating the opposition is the last thing I do, what I do see it as, apart from an opportunity to see where my car audio system is at, is the chance to meet more great people who enjoy car audio as much as I do tongue.gif

Should be a great weekend!
Poisoner
so if Queensland'ers are banana benders and VIC'ies are Mexicans what are New South Whale'rs??????
MRVJ
i did not underestimate the future competition, but the same must be said for the VIC and QLD'ers, Do not underestimate the NSW Force.

underestimating the Competition is One thing, Trying to Liven up the Competition is another.

Well, since the NSW CAASQ 2007 Season is officially over, i thought i would post up some much needed Thank Yous.

Marty and co - for getting NSW season up and running this year, organising everything behind the scenes and ensuring all the rounds were run smoothly, and ensuring we were all fed well.

All NSW Judges - we had a few different judges this year, all of which did a great job giving up their time to judge the cars on both scorching hot days, and freezing cold/wet/rainy days. All your efforts are greatly appreciated. Without you, the NSW cars wouldnt be where they are today.

Competitors - We all deserve some congratulations and a pat on the back for sticking with it through those scorching hot days, and those horrible rainy days. Thanks to all competitors in each class who seem to force and encourage each individual car to get better and better every round. Without us competitors, our cars would never improve. Well done and congratulations to all.

Dorans and Autobarn - for hosting a few of the events and letting us run the SQ side in conjunction with the SPL. It was good to get out and mingle with some of the SPL boys, and also mix up the locations so we werent driving to the same place all the time. Thanks to Autobarn for hosting the last event. It was a great day, and im sure we were all fed well with the free Maccas.

To anyone else who may have forgotten - Thank you.

All your efforts are greatly appreciated.

Cheers
- Rick

MRVJ
Meh, I hate giving thanks.

But i will make an Exception,

To Marty, Thanks for all the hard work you put into getting the NSW Competition where it is today, and for dealing with all the bullsiht that comes with it and for opening your shop to us and helping us get the most out of our equipment, No matter what anyone says, your car should be the reference system all the rest are judged off!

NSW Judges, Thank you all for putting aside your schedules to come and tell us if our cars sound good or are utterly crap! and also for putting up with my car in the scorching heat During some rounds.

Doran's and Autobarn, Thank you for Hosting some events and just getting involved with the SQ Scene

Competitors...Now this is a touchy Subject tongue.gif There were some competitors that expected the world from their Systems and were discouraged when they didnt win, All the other competitors have been wonderful, in helping each other and also myself understand the different technologies and theories behind Car Audio Audiophile Systems. Mark, Rick, Jono, Antony and Marty, You have all helped me more than you should of, but you are all better for it biggrin.gif I owe you all a drink and one less punch (rick) biggrin.gif
